Battersea Park is a 200-acre Victorian park on the south bank of the Thames, with a riverside promenade, a large boating lake, the Peace Pagoda, sub-tropical gardens and the Pump House Gallery. There is also a small children's zoo and several cafés.

Battersea Power Station

Battersea Power Station is the restored 1930s coal-fired power station by the Thames, now home to shops, restaurants and Lift 109, a glass lift that rises up one of the chimneys for views across London. The Turbine Halls keep their Art Deco features.

The building is wheelchair accessible, with accessible toilets throughout, and everything is under one roof, which makes it an easy wet-weather outing.

Thames Path through Wandsworth

The Thames Path runs along the river through Wandsworth from Putney Embankment, where the Boat Race starts, past Wandsworth Riverside to Battersea. Along the way there are rowing clubs, riverside pubs and views of the bridges.
