I have over 20 years of experience in care, including live-in roles. I provide calm, structured and respectful support tailored to each individual. I value clear communication with families and well-defined expectations from the beginning. I maintain professional boundaries while building positive and meaningful connections with clients. I am experienced in managing routines, supporting wellbeing, and preparing nutritious meals. Mariana understands the importance of balancing emotional awareness with professional boundaries. She values clear communication and works closely with families to ensure expectations are well defined from the beginning. She takes pride in supporting each person with dignity and respect, contributing to a calm, respectful and reliable care environment. What motivates her each day is providing consistent, reliable support that improves someone’s daily life, while creating a calm environment where clients feel safe and respected. She remains calm and focused in challenging situations, assessing quickly and acting appropriately while following care plans and maintaining clear communication. Her priority is always to ensure the client feels safe, supported and reassured. Mariana enjoys gardening, cooking and listening to opera music, which can be lovely to share with clients depending on their interests. She also values simple conversations and quiet moments, helping create a calm and comfortable atmosphere. With many years of hands-on experience supporting people living with Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, I understand that excellent care is about much more than meeting physical needs. I build trusting relationships, provide reassurance during periods of confusion or anxiety, and adapt my approach to each individual’s personality, history, and preferences. My goal is always to enhance quality of life while maintaining dignity, comfort, and independence.

Hello, my name is Lili, I am 53 years old and I have worked as a nurse for more than 5 years at the Urology section of the University Hospital in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and for more than 3 years as a live-in carer in London and Brighton. As a nurse I encountered many different situations. My responsibilities were: medication administration, catheter, blood tests, blood pressure, personal care, injections, measurement of vital functions, injections, etc. As live-in carer I faced different illnesses as: Alzheimer, Dementia, depression, deafness, visual impairments, physical disabilities, mental health issues, cancer, incontinence, urinary tract infection, anxiety, end of life care. My responsibilities vary according to the requirements, but in general are: eating and drinking assistance, assistence with bathing and dressing, medication administration and remainder, personal care, helping with mobility, cleaning, shopping, cooking, Gp appointments, safeguarding, companionship. Care for others it's a noble profession, means to share love, understanding and compassion, which are the essential aspects of our being. Honesty and integrity, good organisational skills are just a few characteristics of a live-in carer. Maybe choosing a carer it's a difficult time for you, but it may be necessary to have extra help at home. It is important to provide care and support, and giving you, in the same time, complet freedom, and supporting you to continue enjoying your hobbies and interests. I am interested myself in sience, quantum  physics and astronomy, and in spirituality - I take online courses, 2-3 days per week about the nature of reality. I love travelling, my friends call me "a free spirit". I like walks in nature or on the city's streets. My activities are meditation, preying, reading, writing, watching movies and documentaries, sometimes. I smile and I laugh all the time, even in difficult situations, so I appreciate the sense of humor. Thank you for reading!

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before arranging care.

Enter your postcode or town in the search box and we will show carers in your area who speak Italian.

Checks cover identity, right to work, an interview and an accepted criminal-record check: Enhanced DBS, DBS Update Service, Scottish PVG or Access NI. The acceptance window for a standalone Enhanced DBS certificate is 18 months. Update Service rechecks apply where that route is used. Check the documents and discuss skills, training and suitability for your particular care needs before booking. We do not check qualifications, training or references, so ask the carer about those directly.

Live-in carers can relocate to be with your loved one. We may suggest live-in care if hourly options are limited in your area.

Carers set their own rates, which vary by location, experience and care needs. Profile rates include our platform commission and the VAT on that commission. Agree the care, any extra services and expenses before booking. The standard contract charges bank holidays at 1.5 times the normal rate and Christmas Day at twice the normal rate. Compare like-for-like quotes for the same care and cover.

Search by your postcode and filter by language, care type and availability to see carers who fit what you need. You can message carers directly, or post a job describing what you’re looking for so that Italian-speaking carers can apply. You choose who to talk to and who to book.

You can arrange hourly (visiting) care, overnight care, respite and full-time live-in care. Carers help with companionship, personal care, medication support, mobility, meal preparation, household tasks and getting out and about, depending on what your loved one needs.

That depends on the carers near you and how flexible you can be on times and care type. You can search and message carers straight away. If it is urgent, the urgent care finder on our emergency care page can help.

Yes. We always recommend speaking with a carer first, by message, phone or video, and arranging an introductory meeting so both sides are comfortable. There’s no obligation to proceed until you’ve found someone who feels right for your family.

For visits booked through PrimeCarers, we arrange cover where the carer does not have their own. Cover depends on the policy terms, eligibility and exclusions; check that it covers the work you agree. Our team provides platform and administrative support and can help you look for alternatives. Replacement availability and start dates need confirmation. Read the insurance information.

You agree the care with a self-employed carer and use PrimeCarers for contract, booking and payment tools. Keep bookings accurate and pay through the platform. The standard notice is 48 hours for hourly care and for live-in care before 168 hours have been worked. After 168 hours, live-in care requires 7 days. Different notice terms must be agreed in writing under the contract. Booked visits you cancel are payable under the contract, except for unplanned hospitalisation, illness or another reason agreed with your carer. Your carer may waive some or all of the charge. Read the agreement.
