I have worked in care for over 6 years, as a care supervisor and as a carer. I am English, educated to degree level, speak French, German and some Spanish and have experience looking after people with Dementia, Physical Disabilities and those who are Hearing Impaired. Companionship sits at the heart of how I work. I like to share a proper meal rather than leave one on a tray, keep a conversation going, and just be good, easy company through the day. Alongside that, I help with washing, dressing, moving and handling, catheter care and medication reminders, and I keep the home tidy and organised. I've supported people with dementia, Parkinson's, stroke, heart disease, respiratory illness, arthritis, osteoporosis and those who are bedbound or recovering from surgery, having worked as both a support worker and a home care assistant. I speak English, Spanish and Portuguese, and I've built up my knowledge through more than 25 certificates in different areas of care. I have spent much of my career working alongside clients with complex clinical needs, holding an enhanced DBS registration throughout and building the kind of hands on experience that comes only from years at the bedside. I never trained formally as a nurse, but that steady clinical practice has given me the confidence to manage tasks like PEG feeding, wound dressing, catheter and colostomy care with a calm, careful hand. I offer live-in care across London, and speak English, Spanish and French, which often helps clients feel understood from the very first conversation. Over ten years I have supported people living with dementia, Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis, stroke, heart disease and spinal injury, as well as those recovering from surgery or managing diabetes, epilepsy and respiratory illness. I am equally comfortable with day to day personal care, bathing, dressing, moving and handling, as I am with the quieter work of companionship, cooking a proper meal or simply sitting and talking. Outside of work I enjoy dancing, gardening, yoga and getting lost in a good book, and I bring that same steady energy into my clients' homes.
