There is a moment I always remember: a family telling me how much calmer and happier their mother seemed since I started visiting, simply because she felt heard rather than managed. That kind of feedback is what keeps me going, and it shapes how I approach every visit. Based in Stevenage, I offer hourly, live-in and overnight care, and over four years I have supported people living with dementia, learning disabilities, autism, anxiety and eating disorders, alongside a wide range of physical health conditions. I stay calm when things get difficult, which matters when routines change or a client is having a harder day. Day to day, I help with dressing, bathing, toileting and medication reminders, and I cook proper meals rather than reheated ones. I speak English along with Akan, Twi and Fante, which has opened good conversations with clients who share that background. I am also happy to care for pets, since a familiar animal often brings real comfort. Outside of work I enjoy walking, dancing, baking and puzzles, and I bring that same easy, friendly energy into my clients' homes. If you would like a carer who is patient, good humoured and genuinely invested in your independence, I would love to hear from you.

My working week in Exeter is usually a mix of hourly visits, overnight stays and longer live-in placements, and honestly, the part I look forward to most is the time spent simply being with someone: sharing a meal, going over a puzzle together, or just sitting and talking. After seven years in this work, I have come to believe that good care is built as much on company and conversation as it is on the practical tasks. I cook and bake often with the people I support, and I find a shared meal at the table does more for someone's mood than almost anything else. The same goes for a walk outside when someone is able, or an afternoon with music playing while we potter about the house. I bring the same steady, unhurried approach to personal care, whether that is help with bathing and dressing, medication reminders, or more involved support such as catheter or wound care, and I have experience with conditions ranging from dementia and Parkinson's to diabetes, stroke recovery and end of life care. I also speak English, Twi and Fante, which sometimes helps put people at ease. If you are looking for a carer who will take the time to know you or your relative properly, and who sees companionship as part of the job rather than an extra, I would be glad to hear from you.
