Tilbury Fort

Tilbury Fort is a 17th-century star-shaped artillery fort on the north bank of the Thames, cared for by English Heritage, with moats, bastions, gunpowder magazines and a collection of militaria. Elizabeth I rallied her troops nearby before the Armada.

The route from the car park to the entrance suits a wheelchair user with help, though several buildings inside have level changes, so the carer should plan to stay mostly outdoors.
