Become a Carer
When you're looking for a live-in carer, you want someone who is not only highly skilled but also brings a personal touch to everything they do. After all, this is a person who will be living in your home and providing constant care and companionship. At PrimeCarers, we understand this, which is why our comprehensive vetting process involves not only checking that carers have an up-to-date enhanced DBS certificate and the right to work in the UK but also conducting an ID check and a professional interview. This way we ensure we choose only the individuals who demonstrate commitment, professionalism and kindness – the traits we believe are essential to delivering exceptional care.
In North East Lincolnshire, we have a vibrant network of dedicated and compassionate live-in carers. In this article, we will be shining a spotlight on three particularly noteworthy carers: Juliette K, Mariana I, and Adenike L.
Having dedicated five years of her life to caring, Juliette K, hailing from Birmingham, embodies the qualities that make a great carer. She is hardworking, compassionate and unwavering in her enthusiasm and dedication to her work.
Juliette's experience spans a wide range of responsibilities. From personal care and medication administration to house chores and cooking, she can skilfully manage a variety of tasks. At the heart of her practice is the philosophy of 'person-centred care', ensuring every client's individual needs and personal rhythms are always respected and met.
Juliette's commitment to delivering the best care is evident in her continual efforts to keep her skills and training up to date. She treats each one of her clients with dignity and respect, creating a positive, comforting environment that promotes well-being. Her clients truly appreciate her dedication and reliability, as she is always ready to render her services whenever needed.
Mariana I, a youthful mother of one hailing from Manchester, infuses her practice with maternal warmth and care. Her empathy and gentle nature allow her to foster a peaceful and comfortable environment for her clients.
She has been a carer since 2019, gaining a wealth of varied experience along the way. Mariana has worked with children, young adults, and the elderly in several settings, including care homes, hospitals, and supported accommodations. She has experience dealing with clients with different medical needs, from mental health to palliative care.
Mariana's practice is characterised by sensitivity and respect. She understands that the smallest actions can make a significant impact. Whether she's engaging a client in conversation, assisting with toiletries, or even simply watching TV together, Mariana ensures her clients feel heard, cared for, and cherished.
On top of her hands-on caregiving experience, Mariana is also academically accomplished. She holds a Health and Social Care Level 2 qualification and is planning to enrol in a general nursing course at university. Her continuous learning coupled with her practical experience and natural caring instincts make Mariana a truly remarkable carer.
Adenike or "Nikky" as she prefers to be called, is passionate about bringing comfort to clients in their own homes. With strong communication skills and a deep understanding of her clients' needs, she offers a complete care service that seamlessly integrates into a household's rhythms.
Originally from Hyde, Cheshire, Nikky provides personal care tailored to each client’s individual requirements. Her care can be as simple as assisting with buttoning and zipping clothes or include more complex grooming tasks like brushing hair or applying makeup.
Moreover, Nikky manages her clients' health commitments outside their homes, organising and accompanying them to doctor or dentist appointments. She also recognises the importance of maintaining social acquaintances, hence she supports her clients in attending social events and going on day trips tailored to their liking.
Nikky’s holistic approach to care, coupled with her focus on personalising her service to suit each client’s unique needs, makes her an especially valuable member of the PrimeCarers family.
