The practical side of her abilities is a given, she's excellent at her job, she's very smart and most importantly emotionally intelligent, she instinctively knows how to relate to my mother, manages to coax her into doing things that I am unable to get her to do at all! “My days can look quite different from one to the next, whether I'm popping in for a few hours, staying overnight, or living in as part of a longer arrangement, but what I enjoy most is the same throughout: good company, a shared meal, and the kind of conversation that makes the day feel less long. I've been caring in Greater London for 25 years now, mostly with older people, and I've learned as much from them as I hope they've gained from me.”

The interaction she gives my mother is incredible, singing, dancing, taking her to groups, on plenty of walks which mum always loves. She keeps mum very active in body and mind which is exactly what we wanted to keep the mum we knew before the dementia coming out, we were not sure we would find someone to do that but we have in Joyce. She is caring and gentle with mum and I could not recommend her highly enough!
