As a companion carer on PrimeCarers you set your own rates and working pattern, and you can expect typical pay of £18.80–£20 per hour for this kind of work. This role suits people with a warm, patient manner who can lead conversations, plan simple outings or activities, and provide light household support such as preparing drinks, accompanying clients on short walks, reminding about appointments and offering reassurance. You won’t be asked to perform complex clinical tasks unless you’re specifically qualified and the client requests that level of support.
