You set your own hours, choose which clients to accept and work in the neighbourhoods you prefer — from central Newcastle to nearby communities such as Newcastle upon Tyne, Great Heaton, Gateshead, Longbenton, Sheriff Hill and Little Benton. Many carers focus on short calls, longer companionship visits or regular daytime support that preserves routine and familiar surroundings. You remain self-employed and set your own rates, often within £18.50–£20 per hour depending on the support you provide and hours agreed.
