Companionship Carer Jobs in Stratford

We’re looking for experienced carers in Stratford to provide companionship: conversation, local outings, hobbies and light help around the home for people who mainly want company and reassurance. You’ll help make days brighter, keep people safe and support independence in familiar surroundings. Right now, 14 families are currently looking for care in the wider area.

This work suits compassionate, experienced carers who prefer one-to-one time rather than clinical tasks. Many carers who join us are moving away from agency shifts and want more control: you’ll be self-employed, choose your own clients, hours and service area, and set your own rates. Typical pay sits in the range £18.50–£20 per hour depending on the client and the hours you agree. You can work across Stratford and nearby communities such as Stratford upon Avon, Alcester, Henley in Arden, Warwick, Austin Village and Whitnash or focus on the parts of Warwickshire you prefer.

Companionship care often includes sitting and chatting, supporting hobbies, accompanying someone to a café or local group, light domestic tasks like making a drink or clearing up, and providing reassurance at home or on short walks. If you enjoy conversation, patience and building trust, this role is ideal. You don’t need to carry out hands-on personal care for many of these visits, though experience with a range of needs helps when families are choosing a carer.
