Normanby Hall near Scunthorpe is a Regency mansion set in 300 acres of parkland with a Victorian walled garden, deer park, woodland and a farming museum. The Stableyard Café serves meals and snacks in the old stable buildings.

The Old Rectory in Epworth is the Grade I listed house, built in 1709, where John and Charles Wesley, the founders of Methodism, grew up. There are gardens to walk round and a shop, and the house opens on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

There is a ramp to the front door, the ground floor is accessible, there are two accessible toilets and parking can be arranged close to the house, though the first floor is up stairs.

Far Ings is a national nature reserve of flooded clay pits and reed beds on the Humber bank west of Barton, good for watching water birds. There is a modern visitor and education centre, open Wednesday to Sunday, and several bird hides.

Alkborough Flats is a large wetland where the Trent and Ouse meet to form the Humber, with footpaths, bird hides and a tower hide. Above it on the ridge is Julian's Bower, an ancient turf maze with wide views over the reserve.
