I am an experienced carer for 15 years and I have worked with adults with learning difficulties, dementia, and mental health. I have up-to-date training all mandatory training recently completed. I have also completed Train of trainer Level 3. I have the capacity to care for service users and have good relationship building. I have good skills communication skills, creativity, and listening. I can adapt easily and willing to learn new skills. In the past, I have worked with service users with colostomy bags and I would need a refresher course. I have also supported service users with catheters. I am able to complete personal care and share. My background is also working with children and families. I have completed advocating for children and adults. I have done one-to-one sessions with children and hearing their voices was most important to me. I am a good listener who takes time to know and safeguard adults in their own homes. I am aware of Whistleblowing to safeguard service users. I have always enjoyed being a carer. I have empathy. I have safeguarding at heart to keep service users safe and promote independence.

I have always found that care work suits people who like to listen as much as they like to help, and that is where I feel most comfortable. Based in Leeds, I offer hourly and overnight care, and over four years I have supported people with a wide range of conditions, including dementia, Parkinson's, stroke recovery and mental health needs such as anxiety, depression and bipolar. Speaking both Bengali and English, I am able to build an easy rapport with a broad range of clients and their families. Much of what I do centres on companionship alongside the practical side of care. I enjoy cooking and baking, so preparing a meal together or simply sitting down to eat with someone is often the highlight of a visit. I am equally at home helping with bathing, dressing, medication reminders or moving and handling, and I take a calm, steady approach to more complex needs like catheter care, wound dressing or supporting someone who is bedbound. Conversation, a shared photograph album or some music in the background can make a real difference to someone's day, and I try to bring that warmth into every visit. If you are looking for a carer who will treat your family member with patience and genuine interest in their day, I would be glad to help. I look forward to meeting you and hearing more about what support would suit you best.

My week is built around visits across London, sitting with someone over a cup of tea, cooking a meal together, or heading out for a slow walk if the weather allows. Over nine years of hourly care, I have found that this kind of company, the conversation and the small shared moments, often matters just as much as any task on a care plan. I speak Arabic, Bengali, English and Hindi, which has helped me build real rapport with the people I support, and I genuinely enjoy hearing people's stories and getting to know what makes them feel comfortable and understood. When you have me as your carer, you can expect someone steady and attentive rather than rushed. I support people living with dementia, mobility difficulties, diabetes, Parkinson's and a range of other conditions, and I am equally at home helping with personal care, medication reminders or a hoist transfer as I am pottering in the kitchen or doing a jigsaw together. I once noticed a client becoming withdrawn and anxious during a shift, and rather than simply finishing my tasks, I stayed to sit and talk with them until they felt calmer, then made sure the wider team knew what had helped. That is the kind of attention I try to bring to every visit, tasks done properly, but never at the expense of the person in front of me. If you think I might be a good fit for your family, I would be happy to hear from you whenever you are ready.
