My week usually settles into the rhythm of live-in or overnight care. I move into a household and become part of its routine, there through the quiet hours as well as the busy ones. That steadiness is what I enjoy most, based in Stafford and offering families the reassurance that someone reliable is close by whatever the night brings. I have worked in care for over 20 years and think of myself as a senior care professional rather than a nurse, so I am clear about what I offer and careful to keep my enhanced DBS certificates current. I am comfortable with hands-on tasks such as bathing, moving and handling, catheter care and medication reminders, and I have supported people with dementia, Parkinson's, diabetes, stroke recovery and many other conditions. But what I value most is the quieter side of the role. Cooking a proper meal, doing the laundry, sitting down for a game of cards or a chat over tea. Companionship matters as much as the practical support, and I speak both English and Creole, which sometimes helps put people at ease. If you are looking for a calm, steady presence who takes real interest in the person as well as the care, I would love to meet you or your family.

Caring is work I've built my life around, and after seven years I still find it meaningful in a way that keeps me going. I'm based in Hove and offer hourly visiting care, live-in care and overnight support, fitting around whatever pattern suits a family best. Over the years I've supported people through a huge range of conditions, from dementia, stroke and Parkinson's to arthritis, respiratory illness and end of life care. I'm comfortable with hands-on personal care such as bathing, moving and handling, catheter care and hoist use, as well as the everyday things that keep a home running: cooking, laundry and simple admin. I've also supported young adults and children, and I speak English, Wolof and Creole, which sometimes makes all the difference in building trust with a client. Outside of work I love dancing, gardening, yoga and a good card game, and I find these often become lovely ways to connect with the people I care for. I'd really enjoy the chance to meet you or your loved one and talk through how I can help.
