I bring that same measured approach to live-in care in Bourne End, where I've worked for six years now. I speak Bosnian, Croatian, Hungarian, Russian and Serbian alongside English, and I've kept building on my training through several induction and development courses, because I'd rather keep learning than assume I know it all. Day to day, I help with the practical things that make independence possible: washing, dressing, moving safely with a hoist if needed, catheter and colostomy care, medication reminders, and meals cooked properly rather than just heated up. I've supported people through dementia, stroke recovery, Parkinson's, heart disease, respiratory illness, arthritis and mobility problems, as well as end of life care, and I understand how much consistency matters when someone is unwell. I tend to stay the course too, working through the year with only planned breaks, so the people I care for know I'll be there. Outside of work I enjoy walking, cooking, photography and a good book, interests I'm happy to share if it helps someone settle into our routine together. My background is in healthcare and rehabilitation, and over six years that grounding has shaped how I work: steadily, calmly, and with a clear focus on what each person actually needs. I spent around a year working directly in clients' own homes, which taught me how much easier things become when care fits naturally into someone's daily routine rather than the other way round. I'm based in Tonbridge and offer both hourly visiting care and live-in care, and I speak Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian as well as English, which has helped me connect with a wider range of clients and families. Day to day, I support people with conditions such as dementia, Parkinson's, stroke recovery, multiple sclerosis and declining mobility, among others, and I'm comfortable with the full range of personal care, including bathing, dressing, hoist assistance, catheter care and medication reminders. I also help with cooking, laundry and the everyday administrative tasks that can pile up, alongside straightforward, unhurried companionship. Whether someone needs steady, practical hands-on support or simply a reassuring presence through the day, I try to bring the same calm consistency to it. Outside work I keep active with walking, dancing and yoga, and I enjoy music and time with friends, which I think keeps me patient and even-tempered in my work too.
