I am an experienced Self - employed Live-in Carer with over 20 years of experience in providing compassionate and reliable care. I hold an NVQ Level 2 qualification and I always place the client at the centre of everything I do. My priority is to support each client with kindness, respect and understanding, following their individual needs, routines and personal preferences. I am a very organised, flexible and reliable person. I enjoy maintaining a clean, tidy and comfortable home environment, as I believe this is important for a client’s wellbeing and quality of life. One of my passions is cooking bfresh, healthy meals according to the client’s wishes and dietary needs. I particularly enjoy preparing traditional English meals and making sure the client enjoys nutritious and well-balanced food every day. I also enjoy spending quality time with the client. I am happy to go for walks together, accompany them to social activities, or simply provide companionship at home. If the client enjoys going to church, I would be very pleased to accompany them. If the client is still active, I am also happy to support them with light activities, outings or gentle exercise. I take pride in building a warm, respectful relationship with the client and supporting them to live comfortably and independently in their own home.

100+ hrs of care1 families helped

Whether it's a few hours a week or moving in as a live-in carer, I like my days to have a rhythm my clients can rely on. I offer both hourly visiting care and live-in care from my base in Steyning, and over ten years I have found I am happiest when I can settle into a routine with someone and really get to know them. One Christmas, I arranged a proper Christmas lunch for a client of mine. Seeing how happy it made him is something I still think about, it was a small thing to organise but it meant a great deal to him, and to me. That is the kind of care I enjoy most, not just the practical side like medication reminders, bathing or helping with meals, but noticing what would genuinely lift someone's day. Families have told me I am patient and that I create a friendly, easy atmosphere in the home, and I try to carry that same calm approach whether I am supporting someone with dementia, recovering from a stroke, or simply after company and a chat. I speak Czech, English and Slovak, and I am always glad to meet people with memories and stories of their own to share. If you think I might be a good fit for your family, please do get in touch, there is no pressure, just a friendly conversation to start.

100+ hrs of care2 families helped

There is something grounding about cooking a proper meal with someone rather than just for them, and it is one of the small rituals I bring into my visits. I have been providing hourly and visiting care around Manchester for six years, working with people living with dementia, Parkinson's, stroke and a wide range of physical and cognitive conditions, and I speak both Czech and English, which has meant a lot to some of the families I have supported. What I enjoy most is adapting to whoever I am with that day. Some visits call for quiet companionship and a steady hand with bathing or dressing, others need real technical care such as hoist transfers, catheter care or supporting someone who is bedbound, and I am equally comfortable with both. I try to keep things unhurried and good humoured, because I have found that people relax more when the person helping them is calm rather than clock watching. Away from work I am happiest walking, gardening, baking something new or listening to music, and I think that sense of everyday enjoyment carries through into how I care for people. If you are looking for someone reliable, warm and genuinely easy to have in your home, I would love to meet you or your family and talk through what support might help.
