Over 12 years I have cared for people with a wide range of conditions, including dementia, Parkinson's, stroke, cerebral palsy, spinal injury and cancer, as well as people living with anxiety, depression and schizophrenia. I am confident with medication, hoist use, catheter care, personal care and mobility support, and I also help with cooking, laundry and the everyday admin that keeps a household running. I speak English, Afrikaans, Swedish and Swahili, which sometimes helps me connect with clients and families in their own language. What keeps me motivated is simple.
