Checked means we check identity and right to work and require an enhanced DBS certificate before a carer can use the platform, and carers record an online interview about their experience and approach to care. We do not check qualifications, training or references. You choose your carer, and remain responsible for checking their skills, training and documents suit your needs. Juliette cared for my mom for six months . During this time she was a huge help to our family . Going to mom’s house twice a day to help with cooking and cleaning . She always had a good attitude even on the days when my mom wasn’t at her best. I can highly recommend Juliette for anyone who needs care.

“Felistas really, really cared for my mother in law and was so kind and gentle with her.”

Felistas is the best carer I have ever met. She lived with and cared for my mother in law for three years. Felistas is extremely professional, compassionate and caring. “She is the real deal, the real life Mary Poppins that we didn't think existed.”

Wow, Mary is absolutely amazing! She has transformed the house and been an incredible help to my Mum and Dad in very difficult circumstances. She looked after my Dad (who has very high care needs) when he had to go to hospital and was up all night staying with him, barely getting any rest. My Dad has had to go back to…

The Checks

How Do We Check
Private Carers?

ID and right to work

We check identity online with Yoti, a digital identity service, and right to work in the UK with a Home Office share code or passport.

Enhanced DBS Certificate

We ask carers on the platform to hold an accepted criminal-record check (Enhanced DBS issued within the last 2 years, DBS Update Service, Scottish PVG or Access NI), with renewal or rechecks depending on the accepted route.

Online Interview

Every carer records an online interview, in their own time, so we can understand their experience, communication style and approach to care. This is not a clinical assessment or a guarantee of suitability. Check a carer’s skills, experience and training with them before booking.

PrimeCarers is an introductory platform and does not provide, manage, supervise or clinically assess care.

Clients remain responsible for checking carer documentation, interviewing carers, checking suitability for their specific needs, and agreeing the scope of care directly with the carer.
