Vetted means we check identity and right to work and require an enhanced DBS certificate before a carer can use the platform, and we interview carers about their experience and approach to care. You choose your carer, and remain responsible for checking their skills, training and documents suit your needs. See what we check, and what you check.

“She actively engaged with him rather than passively just looking after his needs.”

Vani took excellent care of my father, Stan. She actively engaged with him rather than passively just looking after his needs. I would highly recommend her. Dad said they laughed and chatted all day long. She was very professional in terms of his medication, meals and personal care but had a great warmth to her…

The Checks

How Do We Check
Private Carers?

Full ID Check

A Full ID check including right to work in the UK. We use a government approved service called Yoti to verify carer ID applications online.

Enhanced DBS Certificate

We ask carers on the platform to hold an accepted criminal-record check (Enhanced DBS issued within the last 2 years, DBS Update Service, Scottish PVG or Access NI), with renewal or rechecks depending on the accepted route.

Professional Interview

We interview every carer online to understand their experience, communication style and approach to care. This is not a clinical assessment or a guarantee of suitability. Check a carer’s skills, experience and training with them before booking.

PrimeCarers is an introductory platform and does not provide, manage, supervise or clinically assess care.

Clients remain responsible for checking carer documentation, interviewing carers, checking suitability for their specific needs, and agreeing the scope of care directly with the carer.
